Community Service

Helping the Community

One of the most effective, rewarding steps in the process of healing is the development of a healthy perspective and a positive attitude. Children at Hope Ranch are given the unique opportunity to gain perspective through helping those in need.

Service-learning activities and weekly service projects help students shift their focus to the needs of others while gaining valuable leadership skills and a strong work ethic. Through community service, these children are able to receive one of the most rewarding gifts: the gift of giving back.

 Service-Learning Activities

Service-learning activities are fundamental to the foundation of the Hope Ranch Program and are a “multi-sided” gift: it helps children heal as they learn to be involved, productive citizens of their community and provides a chance for our children to experience the inner-joy of helping others. This also provides an opportunity for Hope Ranch to give back to our community… It’s a win-win for everyone!

 Service Projects

Each set of Teaching-Parents will schedule a weekly “service project” for their family through local agencies, churches, and community organizations. Children will help people in need under the supervision and assistance of their Teaching-Parents.
